Balcony Garden

We had been gradually adding plants on our balcony over the last few months: cacti, carnivorous plants, small trees, flowers... Yesterday we decided we would go farther and get a small herb garden. We picked a nice plant nursery (Cornell Farms) and went quite wild. We came back with like 30 pounds of soil, small and large pots, herbs for my herb garden, various decorative plants, an orchid and organic fertilizer. We spent most of the morning on that little project and now have a much greener balcony.

Here is the finished herb garden, from left to right: cayenne chili, coriander, mint, basil and rosemary. And yes I know, a dwarf is hiding in there.

Our place

I posted a few pictures of our place here. Yes they are in B&W, I hated the colors that came out with the a mix of artificial and natural light and I was too lazy to correct it so you'll have to see it in shades of gray.

Neighbourhood

This evening I walked all around the neighbourhood. The lighting was great, it was peaceful like every sabbath.


Walking further, I came up with this panorama on Ramat Eshkol neighbourhood, my home would be a bit up and farther to the left of the picture (don't forget to click on the image to see a large enough version).

Where I sit

For those that never came here, here is how the place where I sit most of my time at home looks like. Note on the table the cocktail, the bowl of olives, the bowl of pistaches, unlimited supply of narguile, carpet for the feet, EQ2 Queynos map, and teddy bear watching me
