The weather was at its best, warm but not too much thanks to some clouds and a fall breeze that sailboats coming from Herzelia's marina were clearly enjoying. We liked the fortress but I mostly ended up taking pictures of the seascape as you can see:

After the visit of the park we headed to Herzelia's marina to finish the day, had a beer, visited the mall and had an early sushi dinner with a view on the port.

I will buy a new camera in France,
hopefully one with a better zoom and which allow me to set up better the exposition. I ready to go Canon, but gather advice: do you have any?
Mmm it's complicated, what size, what price ? Panasonic has some quite nice cameras lately (with larger zoom ranges than canon by ex).
If you want to simplify your search, you can just compare models from Canon and Panasonic and won't be going wrong.

Bellow DSLR, you have about 4 kinds of cameras: "expert" compacts, compacts with big zooms, ultra compacts, and bridge with superzoom.
In all cases look at the zoom range and not just the magnification factor. Zoom range in the wide angle (interior, landscape) is more usefull for most people than in the super tele (birds, stadium sports)one in general.
You can obviously find lower end/price than the ones I linked, which are at the top of each of the 4 "segments". It is difficult to buy a modern Canon or Panasonic (for >150$) and get bad pictures with them.
