Sunday was more relaxed, we started with a late brunch at VQ with some good cocktails, relaxed at home for a while and then went for a visit of the
Pittock Mansion. Wikipedia pretends it's a renaissance castle, but I honestly don't know what the editor had smoked that day. This is the rich house of the Oregonian newspaper founder, located on top of the western hills of Portland.

The view from there is fantastic, he hired an architect with a lot of taste, used stones, and had all what modern times could offer in 1910: phone between rooms and servants, electric elevators, heated water on the tap, fancy showers, a fridge, etc...

I want the same stove

Nice staircase

Shower

And a very nice garden.
