On our way we stopped in Frejus, Saint Raphael and followed all the Esterel coast to Cannes, enjoy a drink on La Croisette and then finally Vence.
Going down to a red rocks beach in a protected cove.
Enjoying the sight of l'Ile d'Or.
After a great evening chatting, eating and drinking with L&L we spent the next day walking around Vence and Nice. It was a relaxing nice weekend.
In the streets of the olde Vence

After the Southeast of France, our next destination was the Southwest ! Yet another long day of drive to Toulouse to meet Fifille and Toms.
Fifille would take us to Moissac for a day of tourism, between the cathedral, the bridge-canal, and stealing pears in the orchards :). The more we were into this trip, the more relaxing it was getting and the less we were doing. We drove to Lectoure where Fifille used to work. There we discovered everything about the production of the cocagnes used for the production of the original pastel blue, visited the town and bought a bag full of local products (including a bottle of Armagnac as old as me).
On our way back to Paris we made a quick stop in Chartres to visit the Cathedral.
The same night we would have dinner with Katel and Frl and, surprise, Prez that happened to be on a business trip nearby. It was a great time meeting old friends around some good food and wines.
The next day we were hosted by my dad's side of the family that I had not seen in probably a decade. A fantastic surprise was awaiting us, as we were expecting to just meet his cousin at the last minute he had managed to bring all the family together for us. It felt wonderful and M was able to meet almost everybody at once. Thanks again Alain.
Our marathon was running to an end, our last stop before flying back to Portland (and Chile for me) was at Clement and Clotilde which I hadn't seen since I visited them in Istanbul. The kids had grown so much it was hard for me to recognize them... We flew back the next day definitely filled with love.
